Frequently asked questions

How do invites to a Care Circle work?
From More › Care Circle, the Organizer sends an invite using Apple's own sharing sheet. The person you invite needs to be signed in to iCloud on their device to accept it. Once accepted, they can see the shared care recipient's binder, and add to it if the Organizer lets them make changes.
Can the person we care for use FolksKeeper too?
Yes, if they have their own Apple Account. From More › Care Circle, tap Invite with their first name. Their invite starts without editing, so they can see everything but not change it. After they accept, tap This is (their first name) on their row. They don't count toward the free plan's two people.
How do I choose who can make changes?
In More › Care Circle, the Organizer can turn Can make changes on or off for each person. Someone who can't make changes still sees the whole binder, but the add and edit buttons are hidden. It can take a minute or so for the change to reach their phone.
Why can't I see a family member's update yet?
FolksKeeper relies on iCloud to sync shared information between devices, which can take a little time depending on network conditions. If an update hasn't appeared after a few minutes, make sure the device is connected to the internet and signed in to iCloud, then reopen the app.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, choose FolksKeeper Family, and tap Cancel Subscription. You can also get there from within FolksKeeper at More › Subscription › Manage Subscription.
How do I restore a purchase?
Open FolksKeeper, go to More › Subscription, and tap Restore Purchases. This restores an active FolksKeeper Family subscription tied to your Apple Account, for example after reinstalling the app or setting up a new device.
How do I export or delete my data?
Go to More › Export All Data to create a copy of your information — including the ER Packet, Med List, and documents — that you can save or share. The Organizer can permanently delete a care recipient (and its shared copy in family members' iCloud) from More › Delete care recipient. You can also manage FolksKeeper's iCloud data directly in iOS Settings › [your name] › iCloud.
How do I print or AirDrop the ER Packet?
Open the ER Packet from the Today screen, then tap the Share button in the preview. From the share sheet you can print, AirDrop, save to Files, or send it by Messages.
Who do I contact about press or partnerships?
Email hello@folkskeeper.com.
