Why we built FolksKeeper.

Designed by a registered nurse

FolksKeeper was designed by a registered nurse with 15 years of care-management experience — years spent watching families arrive at appointments and emergency rooms trying to reconstruct a medication list from memory, a stack of pharmacy printouts, and a notebook that didn't make it out the door. The questions a hospital intake desk asks are predictable. The information families need to answer them usually isn't organized anywhere in particular.

FolksKeeper exists to close that gap: one place for medications, appointments, a daily care log, documents, tasks, and a one-page ER Packet, built around the specific questions families actually get asked in a hospital hallway or a pharmacy line — not a general-purpose notes app repurposed for caregiving.

Who FolksKeeper is for

Caregiving for an aging parent is rarely one person's job. It's a spouse managing day to day, a daughter coordinating from a different city, a sibling who drives to appointments, and sometimes a home health aide who's only there on weekdays. FolksKeeper is built so a 70-year-old spouse and a 40-year-old daughter can both use it comfortably — plain language, large tap targets, and a design that reads like an organized binder rather than a dashboard.

BrightBench LLC

FolksKeeper is made by BrightBench LLC, a small company with one product. We don't run advertising, sell data, or operate a server that FolksKeeper talks to — everything you enter stays in your own family's iCloud account, and we have no way to see it. There's no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party software of any kind inside the app.

FolksKeeper is an organizer, not medical advice. It doesn't give clinical advice, check drug interactions, or diagnose anything, and it's not a substitute for the guidance of licensed medical professionals.
